    1. About These Terms

    These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the Wastrio platform, including our website at wastrio.co.uk and our compliance application at app.wastrio.co.uk, operated by Wastrio Ltd, registered in England and Wales, with registered office at 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ.

    By accessing or using Wastrio, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

    2. The Service

    Wastrio provides digital waste tracking and compliance software designed to help businesses meet their obligations under the Environment Act 2021 and associated regulations. The platform enables users to create, manage, and store digital waste transfer notes and related compliance records.

    3. Your Account

    To use Wastrio you must:

    • Be at least 18 years old and have authority to bind your organisation
    • Provide accurate registration information and keep it updated
    • Keep your login credentials secure and confidential
    • Notify us immediately of any unauthorised access at steve@wastrio.com

    You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

    4. Acceptable Use

    You agree not to:

    • Use the platform for any unlawful purpose or in breach of any regulation
    • Enter false, misleading, or fraudulent waste records
    • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the service
    • Reverse engineer, copy, or resell any part of the platform
    • Interfere with the performance or integrity of the service

    5. Compliance Responsibility

    Wastrio is a tool to assist with compliance. It is your responsibility to ensure that your use of the platform meets all applicable legal and regulatory requirements, including those set by the Environment Agency. Wastrio does not provide legal advice and is not liable for any regulatory penalties arising from your compliance activities.

    6. Subscription & Payment

    Access to Wastrio is provided on a subscription basis. Pricing, billing cycles, and payment terms are set out at the point of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date. Refunds are assessed on a case-by-case basis — contact us at steve@wastrio.com.

    7. Data & Records

    You retain ownership of all compliance data you enter into Wastrio. We store waste transfer records for a minimum of two years in line with Environment Act 2021 requirements. Upon termination of your subscription, you may export your data. We will retain records required by law even after account closure.

    8. Intellectual Property

    All intellectual property in the Wastrio platform, including software, design, content, and trademarks, belongs to Wastrio Ltd. Nothing in these terms grants you any rights in our IP other than the limited right to use the service as described.

    9. Availability & Uptime

    We aim to provide a reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may carry out maintenance, updates, or emergency work that temporarily affects availability. We will endeavour to give advance notice of planned downtime where possible.

    10. Limitation of Liability

    To the fullest extent permitted by law, Wastrio Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from your use of the platform, including loss of data, revenue, or regulatory penalties. Our total liability to you in any 12-month period shall not exceed the fees paid by you during that period.

    11. Termination

    You may cancel your subscription at any time. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms, with or without notice depending on the severity of the breach.

    12. Changes to These Terms

    We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or via the platform. Continued use of Wastrio after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

    13. Governing Law

    These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
